If none of these materials is available to you you can always elect drain repipe to soak rags or towels in hot water and wrap them around the frozen pipe. This will probably take longer than any of the methods previously mentioned.
Water leak detectors are alarms that alert you of leaks. They do not stop the water leak from happening. They also do not stop the leak after it happens or turn off the water line repair valve.
